I'm not sure what's going on here but I like it. *pleasantly confused* M

I've only read a few stories with Bulstrode in them. Most are very good, and there are some delightful plot lines that are possible.

It's hard to tell yet where this is going, but it seem to have a plot inside a plot. The writing is uniformly very good, and the author is effective at sharing the story, with an excellent mix of discourse and exposition.

Very enjoyable so far!

Interesting-- is all this part of the Dreamweaver and the plan formed 'in his orderly mind', and will Harry realize this?
For the answer to these and other questions I will stay tuned.
Very good hook to this.

Oh, I forgot the opening scene. With the Dreamweaver the whole thing with Millicent may not be real, right?

Kokopelli replied:

Indeed - some of it was real, but most was not.

Millicent?!? And the hero so easily shunted off out of the way? Odd premise, but well-written and enjoyable.

How nice to have a normal date for a change. When you say nothing is as it seems I hope you don't mean Millicent, I like her in this and would like to keep on liking her.
On to the next chapter.

Thank you for presenting a new perspective. That is a pairing I never expected to see. And I like it. We all have to grow up sometime and sometimes you find a rose growing among the weeds. I like that last bit of your notes; It will become more and less clear! Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. pms

For what ever reason, I read the second chapter first and then this part. Interesting. I am alwaya in the mood for something fluffy and WAFFy.

Good start, we'll see how it goes.

Harry and Millicent- an interesting and unused combination. The bit with him freezing is very confusing, but I assume all will be explained in time. Thanks for the beginning of the story.

I wasn't too sure this would be my cup of tea but as I read on I warmed to the story. I look forward to find out the twists and turns as the plot unfolds. Thanks for writing. W.

Good first chapter. You made it effortless to believe Millicent's explanation for her Hogwart's years.

Sounds like the Canadian Auror program is a bit tougher than the English one. :) /canadian

Other than the 1st couple of paragraphs which don't seem to have an acquaintance with the rest it sound s like a nice normal, Milly has reformed story - then your AN sends us scurrying for cover, checking every shadow for ambushes, and anxiously awaiting a follow up.

thanks so much for sharing your talent

More AND less clear? Was that accidental or deliberate!?!?!

Nothing is as it seems? Is Millicent really Ginny in disguise and by coincidence is really a man?

You've done some nice work making a good reason for Harry to be in an auror school in the states.

*Laughs* Oh, this does look to get quite interesting. That's a "nice" dream they're weaving for him, I wonder how long before he realizes what it is, what their real purposes are, and what he'll do about them. You've got me hooked, my friend.

Crys posted a comment on Saturday 2nd June 2007 5:41am for The First

Nothing is as it seems . . . Okay, he's a captive of the bad guys and this entire sequence has been manufactured by the Dreamweaver. They're going to try to dig something out of his brain sooner or later. Probably the prophecy and what is known about horcruxes.

His thought about only the DL could kill him was while he was freezing to death instead of after he was caught.

Milly will be brought in once he's awake for real. Maybe to try to dig info out. At the very least to confuse him.

Okay, now that I've given my official guess: So far so good. Kinda hard to say anything more about it right now about it as it's so early.

Pardon me while I celebrate this pairing. Yes, yes, yes. I'm probably one of the few H/MB shippers around, there are almost no fics of this pairing that aren't harem fics. That said this is a most excellent beginning.

Thought that they found Harry nearly frozen, but guess not. That first part is really strange, but I assume (1) it isn't Moldie (I hate stories where the dead baddie comes back to life) and (2) will set up the crisis in the story that really isn't needed because we know the main characters and simply enjoy their life.
